Words Are Important

Have you ever felt that your words don’t make a difference. That what you say just doesn’t matter; even those words you whisper to yourself? Ever wonder if your words matter to God? Well, yes, they do matter. God gave us the beautiful ability to communicate with words. We should use them correctly. That means we must realize that our words contain power. We can be destructive or to be constructive; foolish or wise; harsh or lovingly; false or true. What do you want your words to say about you? Oh, yes, I know that there is a “flip side” of words called actions (behavior) but today let’s just focus on the words we say, and how important they are to our very life.
Just think about all the words you say in one day. The good things, the funny things, and the trials and problems that we deal with on a daily basis. We need to know that our words determine the fate of every situation and circumstance. We always need to find out what God’s Word has to say about every situation and speak His Word over it. This is because as long as we talk the problem we are not talking the solution.
Talking only about a problem will lead to complaining, disbelief, fear, and worry. Talking God’s Word will lead to faith and trust in God for the solution. Worry and faith do not work at the same time. We CANNOT serve two masters at the same time (Luke 16:13). We need to speak the result that we want, rather than the result we have. (Romans 4:17).
We are to speak to the mountains that come against us and declare the Word of God over those mountains and over ourselves. Our faith in God’s Word will move the mountains, dispel the power of the enemy, and free us from the bondage of that mountain. No matter what that problem or mountain is, the Word of God is more powerful. (Matthew 17:20). We may not always keep problems from coming but we can keep them from getting the best of us. Recognize that you are more than a conqueror through HIM (Romans 8:37).
Proverbs 18:21 teaches us that, “death and life are in the power of the tongue”. What this tells me is that I have control and power over a lot of what happens in my life. So do You. The choice is up to each of us; whether to speak the words of the world, or to speak the Words of God. Words of the world will bring death on us, but the Words of God will bring life on us.
BE CAREFUL EACH DAY TO CHOOSE YOUR WORDS CORRECTLY AND WISELY. LEARN AND SPEAK GOD’S WORD AND YOU WILL BE SPEAKING THE BLESSINGS OF GOD INTO YOUR LIFE.

Truth!
