Faith and fear are expectations. Faith expects the best. Fear expects the worst.

 Both faith and fear are spiritual forces. Both are tools used for different purposes. Faith is a tool promoted by God to bring His blessings of life and life abundantly to us. Fear is a tool promoted by the devil to bring his plans to kill, steal, and to destroy us (John 10:10).

Both faith and fear come to us the same way. Fear comes by listening to the lies of the devil and overcomes us with defeat. Faith comes by hearing the Word of God and overcomes us with victory. They work similarly as magnets: Faith draws provision. Fear draws lack.

We need faith to overcome the challenges, trials, and temptations in life. We gain faith in God by hearing His Word and applying it to our lives.

Romans 10:17: (NKJV) “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.”

So, then faith for anything – for finances, healing, guidance, wisdom – anything – comes by hearing the Word of God – and hearing it continually, which builds our faith to believe God’s Word. Then that faith brings His blessings into our life.

We activate the victory of faith in our lives by being “born of God” – meaning we receive Jesus as our Savior. Romans 10:9-10 says that if we confess with our mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in our heart that God has raised him from the dead, we shall be saved. For with the heart we believe unto righteousness; and with our mouth confession is made unto salvation.

1 John 5:4: “For whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith. Each of us choose whether we want to live in fear or to live in faith. No one can choose for you – must decide for yourself.

Fear brings defeat   —–   FAITH brings Victory.
