Steadfastness Is Required

BE STEADFAST — To be steadfast means to be reliable, loyal, consistent, having stability in all our ways. Not just in a big task but in the everyday tasks of life, which most of the time fall into the realm of small mundane responsibilities. It also requires us to resist being double-minded (James 1:6-8), and endeavoring to not grow weary while doing good (2 Thessalonians 3:13).
The Bible teaches in Luke 16:10 that those who are faithful in what is least is also faithful in much. This means that as we discipline ourselves to be steadfast in the smaller responsibilities of life, we are establishing stability and balance that will help keep us from failure in the bigger assignments.
It’s in the hidden moments of discipline that God solidifies His plans for our lives. For instance, those years of practicing a musical instrument that prepares us for future opportunities that a person is not yet aware of. Those hidden hours of studying that also gives confidence when a pop quiz is announced in a class.
It’s also the discipline during those hidden early mornings or late nights of reading and studying the Bible and learning the promises of God that strengthen our faith to be strong and unmovable in our walk with Him; preparing us for a test or trial that God knows is coming but we do not. So, being steadfast is profitable in every area of our lives.
My prayer is that your eyes are opened to the importance of being steadfast which results in preparedness for the future, which results in positioning yourself to live in the blessings of God.
