In last week’s blog I wrote on the Crossroads in our lives.  This week I decided to follow-up, or complete the circle with this poem about the choices we make.   Hope you enjoy it.

Crossroads, Crossroads, all along life’s way

Each with opportunities, results, and pay

Each is a choice, a decision, and a step

How we walk in them shows how our heart is kept

Some are small and some are big, but no matter what they be

Counting the cost of each decision is the absolute key

Each time we make a decision, each time we make a choice

We are saying what we believe by giving it our voice

Counting the cost ahead of time gives us an early clue

Of what might be in the path of a crossroad in view

We must look further ahead than the moment of today

We must keep our course so close to God we’ll stay

Don’t take a step alone; don’t take a step in haste

Go to God for counsel, to His Word in each case

We have a course to finish, a purpose and a call

To be completed in due season by God in us all

So in the endless time of ages, as we call eternity

We will be in heaven praising God for He alone is Worthy
