Honoring Memorial Day

thMemorial Day brings to our minds the history of our nation and all the sacrifices that have been made to bring us where we are today.  I think most of the time the majority of people think of our freedom as being free; and for us maybe, but not for those who made our freedom possible!  This was true in the beginning of our Nation and is still true today.

We thank all the Veterans of our Great Nation – the United States of America –

for their desire to serve our Nation,

for their dedication to be and do all they can to keep us safe,

for the sacrifices it takes to defend our freedom,

for their families who also make the sacrifice of being separate from their loved one(s) while they serve in the military.

The list could go on but this gives an idea of the sacrifices made by our soldiers and their families.  May we always remember that the freedoms we have today came with a price and are maintained with a price; freedom is paid for by a few and enjoyed by many.  We – the people of the United States of America – thank you and honor you this day.
