This I Say Again

thWhen we are struggling with difficulties we must keep speaking the Word of God over them.  We must avoid saying words that agree with symptoms, the circumstances or problems.  We must be diligent and constant in keeping our words in line with and agreeing with the Bible; for it is God’s Word that holds the answer to every situation.

When I say to avoid speaking words that agree with the circumstances I don’t mean that we ignore what is going on around us; I mean that we take the authority that Jesus gave us to rule over what is going on.

When facing sickness, disease, or other ailments in our body we must know that God has provided healing for us and we must continue to speak that healing into our body, calling the healing to be in our body.    Case in point:  I pulled some muscles in my back last week reaching for a pillow in the backseat of the car while we were traveling.

I didn’t even realized what had happened at first because there was no initial pain and then it was only minor, but began to increase during the day and the next few days.  I immediately spoke healing into my body when it happened and have had to continue speaking the healing power of God over my body.  This is not to say that I ignored the symptoms and didn’t take care of myself; I rested a lot and yes I did take pain relievers.  It’s not about whether we take medicine or don’t take medicine, go see a doctor or don’t go see a doctor.  It’s about putting our faith in what God has says.  After all, who do you think gives doctors the wisdom to figure out what is wrong if it isn’t God.  We must believe that God wants us to be healed and in good health and we must speak that belief over our situation.

Now, just in case someone might be distracted with thoughts of trying to figure if this incident happened because I forgot to speak my healing Scriptures, I say don’t be so quick to try to figure out why this happened but be quick to learn from my experience.  Don’t be wrongly legalistic by agreeing with what is wrong but be committed to the rule of the Word of God over your life.  We must always remember that we have an enemy who wants us to be sick, diseased, and in pain and it is the devil that is always going around seeking whom he may devour.  He comes to steel, kill and destroy, and sickness is one of his tools.  (John 10:10, 1 Peter 5:8)

Here are a few healing Scriptures that I speak over my body – all the time – not just when I’m in need of healing – but also to keep my healing and be in good health.  I remind myself of what God says by reading His Word and by speaking His Word.

Jeremiah 30:17   For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says the Lord.

Psalm 103:1-3   Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me bless his holy name.  Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases.

Psalm 107:20   He sent His word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.

John 1:1, 14   In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us…full of grace and truth.

Acts 10:38   How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with Him.

Matthew 4:24, 8:16, 12:15; Luke 6:19; Acts 5:16   These Scriptures and others state that Jesus healed all those who were sick.

Isaiah 53:5   He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.

1 Peter 2:24  Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness – by whose stripes you were healed.

Hebrews 13:8   Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.

If Jesus healed then – then He still heals today.

Matthew 28:28   And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.

John 14:12-14   Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also…; and whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son, If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.

I thank You Father for revealing your love to me; for showing me the Way of Salvation through Jesus’ death and resurrection; for showing me healing in the Name of Jesus and by the stripes on His back; for showing me that I have authority in Your Name to cast out sickness from my body.  I speak healing into my body from the top of my head to the bottom of my feet; for I believe that you want me to be healthy and healed and have provided healing for me and I receive it by faith.   Again I say, I will not cast away my confidence in Your Word but will fight the good fight of faith for my healing, in the Name of Jesus to the glory of God.
