Revelation

324The purpose of the revelation of the Word of God is NOT to bring condemnation, regret, or shame, but to bring restoration in our lives with Salvation in Jesus, to healing, prosperity, and power to live victoriously for Jesus.
Romans 8:1 tells us that there is now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus. Also, John 3:16-17 teaches us that Jesus came to save not to condemn.
The word reveal is pretty much self-explanatory: it means, to make known, to show plainly, to open up to view.
So, to me, this means that the whole reason God wants to give us revelation of His Word is so we can know Him better.  Jesus taught by parables which show how easy it is to understand the nature of God, and His truths and principles.
When we read and study the Bible our spiritual eyes open up to a new view, (God’s view).  When we believe the truth of the Bible and receive it into our heart, it absolutely will turn us from the world’s viewpoints to God’s righteous viewpoints.
Deuteronomy 29:29 tells us that the secret things belong to the Lord our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.  This means, as God reveals to His people the truths of His Kingdom, they become our benefits, and we are to live by those truths.  I know some of you might be thinking that doesn’t apply to the Church today because at the end of the verse it says, “the words of this law”; BUT Jesus tells us in Matthew 5:17 that He did not come to destroy the law, but to fulfill the law.
Ephesians 1:17 teaches us that it is the revelation of the knowledge of God that brings understanding to us of who He is and what our inheritance is in Him.  We also learn from Galatians 3:26 and 29 that we are children of God by faith in Christ Jesus, and if in Christ, then we are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.  So, we are heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ (Romans 8:17).
Every business I ever worked for had a benefit package that came with being an employee; a member of their business family, to put it another way.  The Kingdom of God is no different!  God has provided his children with a benefit package also; his name is Jesus, and all our rights, privileges and blessings come from Him.  All of who we are as a child of God is based in the Son of God.  Our Salvation Package of Benefits are listed in the Owner’s Manual, the Bible, and we must read it to learn about all that belongs to us.
I pray that this message has inspired you to read the Bible and discover and re-discover the promises of God that are yours in Christ Jesus.

This is a very clear way to think about God’s benefits. Good word Mary.
