Stir Up Your Gift

This past week I attended Camp Meetings at Rhema Bible Church in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. There were three sessions each day, each with a different speaker. So good. I’ve decided to do a mixture of notes – some from the meetings – and some of my own expanded notes of what the Lord said to me. Hope you are encouraged to stay the course in your faith walk with the Lord Jesus Christ.

God intends the Church to rise-up and walk in His glory in these last days. It is time to go past the memories of how it used to be; we, the Church, should be making faith memories for future generations to follow! Second Corinthians 4:6-7 tells us that God has given us the light to shine in the darkness; the light of the knowledge of the glory of God. The question is “what are you doing with the glory of God?” Don’t think of yourself as being alone in the darkness of the market place or work place; think of yourself as the light of God’s glory that will draw others to Him.

We must believe the Word in order to receive the promises of the Word. What is it that you believe? Our natural bodies need certain essentials in order to be strong and function correctly. So it is of our faith; we need to read and pray the Word of God for our faith to be strong and function correctly. If our faith is not achieving what the Word says, if our faith is not producing the fruit of righteousness, then our faith is weak.

The same value we place on the Word of God is the same value or measurement of how we receive the benefits of the Word of God. We cannot live today on yesterday’s faith; we must feed ourselves faith every day so our faith is actively strong and not just memories. Remember that a delayed answer to prayer is not a denial to prayer. Our endurance is developed in the valleys but our rejoicing is done on the mountain tops! We develop endurance by feeding our faith daily, and by keeping our focus on Jesus. The more time we spend with Jesus, the more boldness we will have to live the life of faith.

We need to be more “destiny minded” over “destination minded.”  Our destination is heaven but our destiny is how we fulfill the plan of God for our lives here on earth. Remember, it is the anointing of God that connects us to our destiny. God’s anointing comes as a result of spending time Him. Without His anointing we are not able to complete and finish our race as He intends for us to do.

Faith words and murmuring words don’t mix. To speak faith words at church and then murmur and complain at home is a what the Bible calls “being double-minded”. A double-minded person cannot receive anything from God. (James 1:6-8)

Just because the world is a mess doesn’t mean you have to be a mess. Our victories in this world are not measured by our natural abilities but how we activate, by faith, the capacity of God is in us. God’s calling may be beyond our natural ability or experience, but not our capacity, because for the believer, all things are possible with God. Our capacity resides in the power of God, not in ourselves.

We need to get out of our comfort zones that have become “prison” zones that hinder us from fulfilling the plan of God for our lives. Hebrews 10:24 instructs us to consider one another in order to stir up love and good works. We need to continually be stirring ourselves up in the Word of God; developing the mind of Christ and the faith of God so we will complete the race (calling) God has assigned us.
