HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Thanksgiving is all about being grateful, and giving thanks for the blessings we enjoy.

Expressing thanks with our words and actions is based on our decisions to be thankful for God’s blessings; not on how we feel or the circumstances around us. Developing an attitude of gratitude should be at the top of our “to-do” list each day: for our home, our family, our friends, our great Country, and of course our Lord and Savior Jesus.

There are many Scriptures encouraging us to give thanks but I’ve just chosen these as reminders:

Second Samuel 22:50: Therefore I will give thanks to you, O Lord, among the nations; I will sing praises to Your name.

First Chronicles 16:34: Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.

Psalm 30:4: Sing praise to the Lord, you saints of His, and give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name.

First Corinthians 15:57: But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

First Thessalonians 5:18: In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

If you belong to Jesus, you have the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus in you! Romans 8:37 tells us that we are, “more than conquerors through Him who loves us. Hallelujah!  That’s good news. That’s something to be thankful for.  Focus your thoughts on the goodness of God and I assure you that your heart and mind will be grateful and your words will always express your thankfulness.
