Christmas is coming; are you ready? Are the tree and decorations up; gifts purchased; and the menu planned? Well, you still have a couple of weeks, so don’t get caught unprepared. These are all earthly, natural things we do to be prepared for Christmas gatherings. During these festivities we gather with family and friends. But what about your heart; have you prepared your heart to meet and know Jesus?

Are you making sure you set time aside to spend with Him during your busy days? After all, Christmas is all about celebrating the birth of Jesus. Christmas is all about Him coming to prepare a way for us to meet the Father. Christmas is all about God sending us a Savior. Jesus is no longer a babe in the manger. He grew up, died on the Cross of Calvary as the Savior to redeem us from our sins; a healer to heal us from sicknesses and diseases; a provider to meet our every need. He is the Risen Son of God.

The purpose of Jesus’ birth goes years beyond His birthplace in a stable; His purpose was to bring Salvation to all who will believe in Him. So, again, I ask you: is your heart prepared to meet Jesus the Savior? If you are a believer in Christ, I implore you to keep Jesus in the forefront of your Christmas celebrations. If you do not know Jesus as Savior, simply acknowledge, and believe in Him as the Son of God; that God raised Him from the dead, and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord. Make this Christmas about the real reason for the season – that Jesus is your Savior and Lord.

As you celebrate Christmas by giving gifts to your loved one, remember that God has given you His best gift to you – His Son Jesus.
