We’ve had computer problems this week so I haven’t been able to get to my notes and refine them, hah!   As I was thinking about what to write that would be short but inspirational the words “think on this” came across my thoughts. Let me know what you think about this idea of writing more of “think on this” posts. 

Think on this:  God loves you.   Now most of you might be thinking that you already know this, and hopefully you do, but it is always good to mediate on the truth of God’s Word. 

We learn from John 3:16 that “God so loved the world”.  That includes everyone, even those people in our lives who are difficult to get along with.  Another thought to think about is that those very same people may at times think you’re the difficult person.  No one is exempt from the temptation to be difficult. 

The next part of that verse is what God did because of His love for us, “He gave His only begotten son”.  When we know that God gave His Son for us, we realize what a higher love God has than we do.  We can be sure that God’s love for us is for our good.  His love is not selfish but is pure and holy.  

Then we see in this verse why God gave His Son, “that whosoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life”.   Some translations say eternal life; both have the meaning that a person who believes in Jesus, and accepts Jesus as Savior, will live forever with God. 

So I challenge you this week to really think on the truth that God loves you.  Think about all He has done for you, is doing for you and willing to do for you.  God never runs out of ways to bless us.
