Living Faith

The words living faith came across my mind the other day and I wrote down a few truths to share with you this week. This is not long, and certainly not extensive, but these truths that came from that short time of meditation on the Word are powerful. Let’s use these faith-truths to examine our faith; whether our faith is active and living.
Living faith is an active faith. An active faith is one that produces results according to what a person is believing for. God wants us to have living faith. The only way we can have living faith is to base our faith in a living God. Living faith is living by faith and that is the only kind of faith that is pleasing to God (Hebrews 11:6)
When we base our faith on the Word of God, it’s a sure thing that we will receive what we are believing for because God’s Word is Truth; He cannot lie. So, whatever promise we are basing our faith on, that promise will come to pass in our lives, if we do not waver, do not doubt, and do not fear; but stand firm in our confessions of faith.
God is the great I AM God. He is ever-present and ever-ready to perfect and perform the truth of His Word in our lives. (Psalm 46:1) The level of His perfecting His Word in our lives is directly determined by our level of faith in Him. Do you have little faith, weak faith, great faith? (Matthew 8:26, Romans 14:1, Matthew 8:10)
What is it you are using your faith for today? Healing, finances, reconciliation of a relationship with a friend or family? Maybe a promotion at work or a new job? Whatever it is, study Scriptures that pertains to that specific area and build your faith; because faith comes by hearing and hearing the Word of God. (Romans 10:17)
